Alan's Caricatures are mainly produced in pen and ink, however some of the more recent additions to the collection have been expressed in oils on canvas.
Alan's own idea of caricatures takes a slant on the more common perspective of caricatures. Rather than deliberately exaggerating distinctive features or peculiarities Alan's representation allows one's own imagination to define the features of the characters portrayed.
In his own mind Alan see's the caricature characters as members of his own family and lovingly refers to them as "The Jones Family".
