Alan's Seascapes are natural visions from around the world. They are all painted from memories gained whilst working at sea with the shipping company. They all show nature in its most natural form.
All Alan's paintings are in oils and he paints them using an antique letter opener purchased from a shop in Ely, Cambridgshire, over 10 years ago. Whilst rummaging Alan happened upon a letter opener and when he picked it up to take a closer look it just felt "right" and almost became flexible and an extension of his own hand. He purchased it and decided to try and paint with it. From that day onwards all Alan's paintings have been produced using the letter opener, Alan feels that it has become his "palate knife".
